What is all this about social networking?
I just attended a one-day session conducted by Tony O’Driscoll. If you haven’t heard him speak, put on your big girl/boy pants and jump in the water. This guy will scare you to death.
I’d say I’m not the only Baby Boomer to be totally behind the eight ball with almost everything he said. Blown away with data? You bet.
If we are going to run businesses, and work with the “enterprise” to become more effective (isn’t that what organization development is all about?) then we have to lay down our judgements and get into the minds of our children….and our new hires.
First, get an account on blogger and start to converse publically. This is step one in what is affectionately called your Personal Learning Environment (PLE). Second (and I’ll admit I’m a bit timid here) get on Second Life. This is likely to be how your children make their living.
